GMMG is not a true dual exhaust. I have the GMMG. It's loud but not annoying loud unless I am hitting it hard and I don't care at that point. Too loud of exhaust only pisses the neighbours off (so I only idle through my area) and is pretty much pointless. I do live in the city and like my neighbours.

The GMMG uses two chambered mufflers. The only thing that keeps it from being a true dual exhaust is the mid-pipe.
Many of the true dual exhaust setups on 3rd gens run two pipes in place of that single mid-pipe. That is what I want to do.
Madhammer sells those chambered mufflers separately. http://www.madhammer2.com/_p/prd12/1...t-muffler-tube
I want my exhaust LOUD!
Regardless of whether the GMMG mufflers or the Thrush Rattlers are louder, if there's something else that is even louder, I want to look into it. I'm running a low compression 305 and dual cats, so I'm not that worried about being TOO loud.

Instead of unadulterated loud, you should be hunting for a nice tone and then increase the volume.

I'm not interested in an exhaust that's quiet under normal conditions and LOUD only when you romp on it. I'm not interested in an exhaust system that doesn't drone when you're cruising down the road.
I haven't turned my stereo on in years. The car is my music.
I want little old ladies and nuns to flip me off when I drive by.
I want dogs to howl and cats to bow up.
I want car alarms to go off when I pass.
I want to have to yell to my passenger so she can hear me.
I want it to sound like the Impala on Supernatural, but louder.
Here is what I want:

Forget about the duals, it is just a hassle.
If you want loud then you want a large 4 inch exhaust. Get rid of the cats, they are a better muffler than the muffler. The shorter the muffler the louder it is going to be. Headers help make it louder and bring through more of the lope of the cam (which in your case there probably is none)

Not interested in a huge single exhaust.
Keeping the cats. I believe in them. Also, I think the muffling effect of the cats is what lets me get more extreme on the mufflers. I want it to be loud, but I'm not wanting to have a line of cops following me around.

If you want loud like a Cherry Bomb, why not use Cherry Bomb's? Two 8" Cherry Bomb's will be basically as loud as straight piped.
It will also sound like garbage.
