What headers ?
Hey all.
I am looking to put new headers on my 1986 Iroc-z this spring . It is the 305 motor I am just wondering what anyone else is running or suggestions on which ones I should buy. I would like it to be loud as possible . Thanks

Re: What headers ?
Loud as possible would be any open header it will sound like *** and everyone will wonder why the idiot forgot to put an exhaust system on.
The real question you should be asking is what size primary do I need?
What type of Y pipe am I going to buy or fab?
Am I keeping the AIR system?
What future modifications am I doing and will these headers support it?
What environment is the car running and do I need ceramic coated?

Re: What headers ?
I'm very happy with my Dyno Don headers and y-pipe. I have the flowmaster 3" cat-back, Dyno Don headers, Dyno Don y pipe, and custom cat delete. It's quite loud - it wasn't that loud before the headers but after it's pretty dang loud.
Headers are difficult on these cars - fitment is TIGHT and Dyno Don has the best fitment. There are multiple places where it's 1/4 - 1/8th inch. Virtually all options other than his headers require clearancing due to fitment.

Re: What headers ?
Best way is to PM him. It's about 4-6 weeks as he makes them to order:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/member.php?u=3097
You can see his products on the Top Down Solutions web store:
http://www.top-downsolutions.com/ind...facturer_id=34
You will save a few bucks going directly to the source.
