D-port long tube headers
I have an LT1 swap on my 91 firebird and put shorty headers on it. I am looking to upgrade to long tubes and am looking for advice on a pair the will work with the d-port exhaust and seal properly too. I have the trick flow 195 heads as well. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I did a search and really only found shorty header threads.
thanks

Re: D-port long tube headers
AFAIK any small block Chevy headers (well, except for ones with the Stahl type ports) work fine on those.

Re: D-port long tube headers
I tried a pair that cut off the top of the port. The header had a square port on them.

Yeah those square ones do that alot, on alot of heads. Notorious for poor sealing as a result.
Look at ones with rounder ports. Just gotta make sure that they're not SO tall that the flange misses aligning with the port boss where it's machined flat.

Re: D-port long tube headers
That's what I am afraid of and don't want to get the wrong headers. I was hoping someone has already went through the trial and error of it and found a set. I am looking at Doug's D3321 headers but i am not sure if they will work.
