Ceramic coating question

I want to get my turbo hot side parts ceramic coated. I'm masking off the areas I do not want coated, but am not sure about the v-band flanges. Should the flanges get coated or no? Will coating the flanges cause issues with installing the v-band clamps?

Re: Ceramic coating question

Coat them, the coating isn't thick enough to mess with the connection or fitment.

And even if it is, you can sand or grind it down.

Re: Ceramic coating question

I would mask it, it will just chip off from the V band clamp over time, then a place for the chip to originate down the line
