What does this valve do? I知 confused again
I got air less headers so my smog pump can go. Looking at the pictures it appears this valve attaches to the smog pump... but also connects to a few other things as well... what is this assembly for and do I need it with the pump gone?

AIR = Air Injection Reactor
It controls where the air that the smog pump pumps, goes. Looks like that system is somewhat butchered but still mostly intact. Wouldn't hurt to either completely repair it or completely remove it. In fact you might find that if you repaired it, the engine would be NOTICEABLY SUBSTANTIALLY quitter under the hood.

It would be quieter if the whole system was staying on there, and those check valves at the ends of the tubes that go into the manifolds were left with their ends uncovered.
But if you're putting in headers it doesn't matter. All of that is going away anyway.
