Smog pump trouble searched everywhere
Smog pump trouble searched everywhere
My EGR fell apart but not before using it's large exhaust leak to melt a lot of damage onto the engine. The main problem part is the black plastic thingamajig mounted to the back of the smog pump. From what I can tell it is either the AIR Diverter Valve or the AIR Management Valve. Either way I can't find one anywhere so I am not sure I am looking for the right thing. Does this part come on the smog pump if I buy a new one? Mine pump seems to be fine but the plastic part is toasted.
Please help identify this part and let me know where I can get one if possible.
Thanks,
Steve

A little pricy but it seperated from the air pump by 2 bolts on the back.

Thanks guys for your replies. fasteddi, I sent you a PM. RS90CAMARO, I searched all of the auto parts houses but could not find the part you listed. I am glad you found it but yes, it is very pricey. This whole mess from an exhaust leak is turning into a real PITA.

K, PM sent
Re: Smog pump trouble searched everywhere
OK I did some searching and it looks like this part is no longer made so only option would be a wrecking yard or online. I did find that one from a s10 2.8l is still made and will bolt up to the air pump but would have to be modified one hose connection is straight while the one on the camaro is bent at a 90 degree angle this is the hose that hooks to the exhaust manifold. One on the left is camaro, one on the right is s10
