Factory Exhaust manifold

What size socket do I need to remove the exhaust manifold to install my headers?

I’ve already removed the a/c bracket. The manifold bolts are rusty asf.

Safety first
I’ve been soaking them for a few days with pb blaster.

Re: Factory Exhaust manifold

There's a little sheet-metal bolt retaining piece under the bolts from the factory, that has tabs bent up on 2 sides of the bolt. I see they're still there on your motor: the U-shaped thing underneath the manifold runner, where the AIR fitting is, in your 2nd photo. Who knows whether the tabs are still there, but they probably are, at least some of them. Might have to bend those back (they'll probably break when you do that) before the socket will fit.
