where does this go?

i found this just sitting on top secured by nothing

that would be the coil....it bolt on the side of the motor...probably the exhaust manifold.

Intake manifold I think, not exhaust manifold - ex man heat wouldn't be good for it.

Yep the 2 bolts on top of the exhaust manifold.

It has 4 bolts and 2 brackets on a larger bracket holding the EGR valve and parts that yes, is bolted to the exhaust manifold. Not good for it, but I guess there wasn't anywhere else...

i told u what that was ealier ben =) its ur ignition coil, bolts to the side of the engine, if i remem corectly on my 90 RS it used a exhaust manifold bolt

They easily could have put it on the firewall or one of the VCs imo. But I think I recall that someone relocated one and it didn't make a difference in how hot it got, so idk.
