Everyone with dual/dumped exhaust, how do you pass inspection?

I am about to put dumped dual exhaust on my 91 formula. What do I do about inspection? I have no sniffer test (but I'm using cats, so I'm not concerned about that should it ever be instituted), but they look at the car--the lack of tail pipes and muffler just might be a giveaway. Obviously, a lot of mustangs with dumped exhaust pass inspection, so it can be done.

What do you all do?

Theres not much you can do except hope the guy that looks at your car doesent care. I still cant find the reasoning behind why they care as long as all of the emmisions stuff is intact.
Good Luck!

If they do hassle you just point out that you have c-converters and all of the other stuff is functional.

ok, so you said you are dumping your car, why would there not be a muffler? i gotta dump on mine, that you can cap. its right before the muffler. so all i did for inspection was cap it, take it in, they saw it had a muffler, and it was cool. only thing i got in trouble for was that tube going fomr the exhaust manifold to the intake hose...i took it out, but he was cool with it.

I should have specified--I meant the lack of the large, obvious muffler running across the rear of the car

up here in ny they dont even care about your exhaust as long as it has a muffler. my old ford i have has no cat and a cherry bomb dumped underneath the doors and my firebird has no cat. i get it easy because my dad owns his own shop
