Stock GM Muffler.

I know I’m taking a shot in the dark here. But I’m looking for someone willing to part with a stock Muffler. I’m a nut about keeping my car stock. I know some of you guys remove them for aftermarket systems. Gm part #’s 10113034 or it’s replacement 10113098. Mine has 40k miles on it and is developing pin holes. Thanks. If you can help just message me .

Re: Stock GM Muffler.

I've often wondered if anyone makes a new stock replacement muffler for these cars. If I ever need to replace mine and cannot get a stock replacement, I think I would go with one of the glass-pack (not chambered) designs from Flowmaster or Magnaflow (maybe Dynomax or Hooker?)...

I found this thread very helpful when I replaced my exhaust with new pieces to stay as close as possible to stock:

AP makes one that’s real close.

Re: Stock GM Muffler.

It's too bad we all didn't buy out the guy in Canada, the one with all the GM mufflers when I had him as a source a few years ago. I hooked up a few of you guys, but surprisingly interest dried up pretty fast. I have had a number of people contact me since who wanted one. I did end up getting in touch with him a few weeks ago, (he is hard to make contact with) when another friend asked. He now has ZERO interest in getting involved with shipping anything from Canada to the US.

Back then, he had about 40 or 50 of them.

I Actually have an NOS 4th gen muffler but the muffler is bigger and the pipes are set up a little different.

I believe the mufflers mentioned were interchangeable with both 3rd and 4th gens. They were identical in every way to the factory units on my other cars.

I’m sure it would work. That’s why I grabbed it when I found it. But the 4th gen mufflers are about an inch taller(fatter) than the 3rd gens and the pipes are angled differently. If I can’t locate a proper 3rd gen muffler this will most likely wind up on mine.

If you don't find one, I'd definitely use that with a different tail pipes. Where did you find that?

Re: Stock GM Muffler.

I've always thought that Arvin made stock replacement mufflers and maybe made some of the OE stuff too. Now known as AP and they still list some stock replacements. 3rd gen Camaro section starts at page 227 on the catalog.
