Edelbrock 6872 Exhaust on Corvette Heads

Have corvette heads to replace my L98 heads and want to continue using the edelbrock TES headers (part #6872).

I know the corvette heads have a D shaped exhaust port. Anyone know of any problems with this setup?

Thanks.

Marty

Which Edelbrock headers do you have? The old 1 1/2" ones or the new 1 5/8" ones? I dont think the 1 1/2" ones will line up properly, but the 1 5/8" should work... A better choice would be SLP 1 3/4".

I have the 1 5/8" headers, jet-hot coated and ready to go.

Why are the SLP a better choice?

The 1 3/4" headers will fit better around the D-shaped port than the 1 5/8" will. But it might still work.
