Want keep this L-69 stock. Looking for OEM 3" pipe from cat back.. Has anyone replaced or substituted this with aftermarket 3" pipe.

I haven't used this, but I wish I knew about it a couple months ago.

Re: 1983 L-69 Stock exhaust

Why? The stock L69 exhaust necks down to 2¼" or so at the muffler anyway.

The Hooker system bolts right up to your cat if you make the right adapter (4-bolt plate with a oval to 3" section), does away with the restrictions in the stock system, follows the stock routing and mounts to the stock hangers, and looks very much like stock, if you use simple turndowns instead of the Hooker tips at the exit.

Well Thank you for that suggestion. Your knowledge is appreciated. I was not aware of the Hooker setup. Would you happen to have any numbers on the Hooker item or can I find it on just a search of their site..

Re: 1983 L-69 Stock exhaust

Whatever you get will require the exhaust shop to transfer the 4 bolt flange from your cat, if you still have it.
