Longtubes- 4th Gen ORY on 3rd Gen?
Has anyone tried using an LT1 car Y pipe or ORY kit that has the 3 pieces- Y pipe, drivers and passenger 'leg', and utilize it as a base to connect longtubes to a 3" catback? If so, which kit did you use and how did it tuck to the body, and how close to 'stock' did it connect to the catback?

3rd gen long tube headers run down the trans tunnel. 4th gen do not.
Mufflex sells a 3rd gen Y-pipe with what I assume is a Flowmaster merge. Good stuff.

This page has pictures of both 3rd gen and 4th gen long tube header Y-pipe so you can see the difference.

Appreciate it! Was hoping I'd discovered an easy peasey LT1 cheat code so I could save some time in fabrication.
