Hey all, I don't know if im just stupid or if these aren't going to work I bought a pair of Hedman headers and y-pipe off of Facebook marketplace. Dude said they were for a 3rd gen camaro/firebird, of course I took the chance and bought them because it was a good deal. However, the y-pipe doesn't look like it'll fit....my exhaust comes out on the passenger side, cat has been deleted by previous owner. The y-pipe I was given looks like it'll come out on the driver's side. Pictures given. Anyone else who installed these have any tips?? Hedman y-pipe Stock exhaust, minus cat
I've not owned or installed the Hedman Hedders or Y pipe for our cars but it looks like the correct Y pipe assembly for our 3rd gen F-body.

do you have pictures of your install on a 3rd gen? The pipe thats supposed to tun under the oil pan comes out on the drivers side and the passenger inlet looks way to long to work....
I'm not really following, your image in the first post looks correct, the outlet comes out on the passenger side, the "long" inlet (top in your photo) is the drivers side not passenger.
I believe they are specifically made to fit the Mid Length hedman headers.

so, if im getting this right. The short inlet is the passenger side, and the long one is for the drivers side. So the pipe is installed sideways right? I think in getting it now

Re: Need help with Hedman headers and y-pipe kit
I don't have Hedman exhaust. I have SLP. But it's the same style setup on most all of these shorty/mid length headers and Y pipe.
The short pipe with 90 degree upturn is for the passenger side header and the other pipe and piece with the upturn slid into it is for the driver side header. The Y merge is close to the passenger side front wheel well it makes a turn then runs down parallel to the pinch weld on the car then turns inward and the cat goes there.

so the long pipe for the drivers side header fits under the oil pan like a stock y-pipe correct?
