Anyone know how hot the air injection tube gets?
I need to cut my tube in order to remove the aftermarket valve covers. Tired of having to remove the plenum runners in order to do it. Passenger side is a going show for access due to mods. I'd like to cut the tube and be able to make it a quick removal/reinstall type of thing. Found some stainless couplers that have a rubber seal around them. Good to 250F. Just wondering if any of you know how hot that tube gets.

250° probably isn't adequate. Would be while it's running, but likely to get MUCH hotter than that sitting there after shutting the motor off.
I'd suggest cutting & flaring the tubing instead, which will allow the use of all-metal fittings. Stainless if you want even.
