Headers 305-350 Difference?

Headers 305-350 Difference?

i have a 87 TA. with a 305LG4... But withen the next 6 month's i will have a 350. so im buying a exhuast to put on right now... on the 305... is there a difference for the 2, will the ones for a 305 bolt on to a 350 or is there a difference... should i buy some for 305 or 350? remember i will have a 350 soon!

They will bolt up the same. But you'll want to order one that comes with a 3" Y-pipe, I believe that's the only difference in different header part #'s is the size of the y pipe.

Manufacturers suggest using 1 5/8 headers for 305, 1 3/4 headers for 350.

Which is better for your 350 is up to you. Search the archives since I know this topic has been discussed.
