headers with vette heads?
I have a set of '87 vette heads and I'd like to run some SLP headers with AIR but here's the prob. I want to still keep the EGR working. Now on vette's this was done with a EGR tube from the manifold vs in a Camaro was internal to the head. Has anyone modded their headers for this? Can this be done to coated headers? Are there some out there for this?
What parts did you use? I have not installed them yet.

When inquiring about this, I was told that you can weld coated headers (at least the ones that Paul Barry Motorsports coated for me).
I ended up not running an EGR and everything actually worked fine for me. YMMV though.
I got the emissions-legal AFRs and will be using EGR on them.

I modified my SLP 1 3/4" headers to work with the Corvette style EGR. If you email me I'll send you more pics.

Nice eng, I sent you a note. More pic's and details would be great! Where did you get the mount for the header to bolt the EGR pipe to?
