Jet-Hot and Edelbrock TES questions

I emailed jet-hot about a set of Edelbrock TES headers. They sent back that they don't carry those so I'll have to buy some and send them.

It's going to be $179 for the coating on just the headers that's not counting shipping. The y-pipe would be $15 per foot.

When I first read about this place here on thirdgen I thought it cost $150 to coat a set of headers. Are they just trying to rip me off or what?

I'm not sure whether I want the y-pipe coated, I'm thinking it won't matter as much as the headers themselves.

Anybody who has had these headers could answer this question. Will it hook straight up to the factory smog hoses, do things have to be repositioned? Do extra parts have to be bought?

Thanks all.

This will be over $500 just for the edelbrock headers coated with uncoated y-pipe. I'd like to have the edelbrock headers and y-pipe, but that's steep. Anybody got any suggestions for other sources of coating? I might just get a set of hookers, I think they sell coated for $250 or something like that. I would come in cheaper that way even after having a custom y-pipe made.

Any idea's? Comments? Suggestions?

I counted it up and I guess the price is really bad. It's will be about $70 dollars more than my next best alternative. But for the extra money I'll get all mandrel bend tubing, the other way would be a custom y-pipe(press bent).

The smog should work out better with the TES headers than the Hookers too. I think anyway. The TES's do come with everything to hook up smog hoses with right?
