SLP headers, and Corvette angle plug AL heads?

I'm posting this for a friend. He has a 91 Z-28 just got his short block together, and scored some 88 Vette heads. The question is will the angle plugs clear the 1 5/8 in primary tubes. He couldn't get a straight answer from SLP, I just wondered if anybody has this combo, without having to run weedeater plugs.
Thanks!

I've seen them flat not work on a set of Bowties. Don't know for sure about the vette heads. I would imagine as common as those heads are we would of heard complaining if they didn't.

I just looked at my SLP's on my L98 steel heads. If those plugs were turned in on angle, towards the center of the gap between exhaust ports, I would think they would work. I dont have the Aluminum heads but I have been eying them to put on my car to remove weight from the front end. If your freind doesn't want them let me know.

I had the SLP 1 5/8" Tri-Y headers on the Corvette Aluminum heads and they worked fine except that it was a tight fit to change the plugs.

Should Clear

SLP now sells a shortened spark plug socket to make changing your spark plugs a bit easier. Or you could just cut an inch or so off a regular spark plug socket and then weld a handle to that socket, what I had a friend do after he welded in my setup

Yep, I used my L98 heads with my 1 5/8" SLP headers, and now with my 1 3/4" SLP headers. No problems with spark plugs.

I have the ZZ4 with the angle plug heads and SLP 1 5/8 headers. The plug clearance is fine. I can change my plugs in 20 minutes or less. The only problem is the number 6 plug. I have to go under the car for that one. I use a combo of a regular 5/8 socket, 5/8 sparkplug socket and a 5/8 wrench.
I use a heat wrap on a few wires just be sure.
