Flowtech Headers...

I was originally going to get edelbrock, but they are like $330. For half that I can get flowtech, and they seem just as good if not better. has anyone used them? What kind of performance increase over stock are they?

Thanks... -J

My guess is that you will have clearance problems with the afterburner flowtechs. Go with the flowtech headers designed for our cars; they are pretty good quality for the $$

Y pipe problems are no problem, its going to be custom made along with a custom 2 1/2" exhaust,no cat, into a dynomax muffler.

no but the afterburners are long tubes which hang down a lot and they're designed for 60's chevelles and camaros which have a lot of room between the front frame.

I have those ones too; what does your y pipe look like? Mine looks disgusting like the factory one.

No the Y pipe I have looks like the stock one with the intake on the passenger side like straight in. The picture on Holley looks like a better flowing Y pipe

my flowtechs

the only problem i have with my flowtechs is that the pasenger side header collector flange hits the frame rail
i think it is my motor mounts though
i love them
they are get for 305 because they are only 1.5" primaries
my 305 ta sounds like a dragster with the flowtech headers, their y-pipe, a straight pipe where the cat would be and the stock i pipe hooked up to a flomaster 80 series muffler
it sounds just as good and load as my friends 98 t/a with borla
and just to let you know that y pipe and headers in that picture is not the ones for our cars

4 Piece set.

The 2 Headers, collector from drivers side to passenger Y in, and passenger collector to Y in.
It looks very similar to the illustration. Yes the collectors are the same as the Y in!
