i want to buy some headers for my car. its an 84 camaro thathad a 305 in it but i swapped it out for a 350 out of a 69 car. what kinda headers would i need? clearence wise i mean. i dont have the smog crap on it. any help would be appreciated.

If you're worried about clearance (and in our cars you should) you'll probably have to go with a tubular header system. SLP, Edelbrock, Dynomax, Hooker and Flowtech all make good headers for thirdgens. The more you pay, the better you get.

 

will i have trouble finding some that wil lbolt up. being it a is a 350 now instead of the 305? i was told by a shop that i might have trouble finding soem that will bolt up and stil lhave clearence room. thanks for the help

Uh well there really isnt a difference bolting headers to 305 heads or 350 heads.

 

i was gonna put the 305 manifolds on the 350 until li got headers but the bolt holes didnt line up on the one side.s oi had to buy some used 350 manifolds. thats why i was wondering.

 

i dont know everything seems to interchange for me. Maybe someone else has had the same experience as you and they can respond.
