Loudmouth on a thirdgen?

Loudmouth on a thirdgen?

i have an 89 GTA which i am putting SLP headers on very shortly... i am wondering though... i want to put Loudmouth exhaust on my car... can i do this... will it fit on right? if not i will probably go with either the SLP exhaust... anyone know anything about that?

it won't bolt up to the cat, but Zepher has a 4th gen pacesetter exhaust on his car along with a slip-on cat, so I would guess that at most you'd have to go with a slip-on cat, or weld the old exhaust's cat flange onto the loudmouth pipe.

I'm hoping for a definate answer too, because I'd like to use the loudmouth on my car.

if you added a 3" pipe from your cat to halfway to your axle, the loudmouth it should be perfect. Most 4thgen catbacks don't come as far forward as thirdgen ones. I've explained this before with pictures about a month ago if you want do do a search on this board with my name.

You can also buy just the Loudmouth resonator and do your own piping.

Since I already have the 3" pipe I might do that. I need to ask the local muffler guy how much for two 2.5" pipes with a flowmaster Y would be. Plus my 4thgen Z tips on the end.
