Stick with 80 or go 40 series

Hey guys here is my delema. I have a 89 RS camaro. With Hedman Headers, Catco Highflow cat, 3 cat back pipe, flowmaster 80 series with 2 inch tail pipes, and I aint happy with the sound at all. I mean it is louder then it was when it was stock, but I was expecting a pretty big gain in noise and in all actuallity (sp?) it isnt that much louder at all. I have been told that all the parts have to be brokin in for them to really start sounding good, but I have had the muffer for 2 years and just the the headers and cat and pipe put on this past summer. Well anyway I want it louder. SOOO whut do you guys think I should do? Stay with the 80? I've heard my some people say my sound is beint killed by the 2 inch tail pipes and I should put on 3 incher. Will this make a difference? Or should I go with a 40 series muffler from flowmaster and put a 3 inch tail pip on it? I dont wanna put tips on my car I dont really care for that look. Also if you know of a different muffler company besides Flowmaster let me know. Thanks alot

It won't be any louder with 40 series mufflers. If you want it louder sell your cat, and put in a straight pipe. But I'm sure you won't want to do that so get a 350 and put a big cam in, that should help you out.

wut he said. the 80 series is much louder than the 40. i also think that the tail pipes need to be bigger, try 3'' tails. i also agree that you should put a straight pipe instead of a cat. all of that combined and i think your car will sound bad @ss. my brother had an 80 on his with a guted cat and 3'' tails, it sounded awsome but he has a 350 so....... i hope i helped out.
