Really thinking about runnin straight 3 inch pipe with no cat out the rear of my LO3. One of my freinds had a 96 stang with the 4.6 and it sounded ultra mean with no cat or muffler. If I do it would have two 3 inch echo tips. What do yall think? Its a 5 speed to so I could kinda make it as loud as I wanted it. I know backpressure isnt an issue also so it should be cool on my motor right? Any yeas or neas would be greatly appreciated.

 

I like how it sounds with a y-pipe with no cat, no muffler. But if you run true dual exhaust it is a little loud.

when I drop my muffler off it sounds like crap, but when I ran the ypipe it sounded great, I think its cause I have more of a microphone set up (2 1/4 in to 2 1/2 in to 3)

 

well as it sits right now my pipe has been completely severed due to bottoming out one really good time right before where it goes over the rear axle. I went ahead and took my muffler off so I guess its kinda like a turndown with the turndown. It isnt even loud. It just has a deep tone and a rumble to it. I believe if I delete the cat and run 3in all the way back with some nice 3in tips itl sound good.
