Go to SLPONLINE.COM and enter your info, it will tell you what installation kit to use for your application. Or if you tell us if your car has AIR or not, what year it is, etc., someone here might know.

You need the following:

30000C - coated 1 5/8 1-cat with AIR
30022 - install kit for 1-cat car

Hope this helps, let us know.

OK I know I said I was getting out the 31st but if we can keep these 5 on board and we need to campaign on the other boards and web sites to get in on this we can finish it. I hate to give up on a good thing so I'll stay with it for a little longer. Let's just try to get that one more.

Sorry to have to do this but I'm going to have to back out of the GP-3 deal on SLP headers. I really didn't want to do this but a serious family matter came up and I can't justify the expense at this time. I hate to do this to you guys but it's got to be family before the Z. I already e-mailed Steve to cancel the order. Sorry again. Damn I just guess it ain't meant to be.

flyway,
ease up a bit on him. he's just helping all of us save $100+ on our headers, and any effort is appreciated ya know? i helped some people (including folks who later dropped out) pick the correct part number for their headers, when they just as well could have got them themself on slponline.com. a little effort and a little redundancy is worth the savings in my book!

no flame intented or meant, no hard feelings, yada yada yada.

Didn't mean to make it sound like i was flaming him, it's just an observation. I look stuff up for people all the time when they can easily find it for themselves. Just an observation.

I am looking to get SLP 1 3/4 headers, the new ones which have the chrome look

I wont be able to guarantee the order until atleast 4 -5 weeks, then i can be definite....

How long is this deal open? I dont know if i need AIR or if i have AIR.... I have a 1992 z28, owner before had flowmasters exhaust installed, but that is gonna go and i am going with hooker catback...

Flowmaster exhaust i have is messed up, broken all over and it needs a change...

30016 $345.00

30001 $415.00
30003 $415.00
30005 $385.00
30014 $385.00

Headers Available Coated:

30000C $595.00

LBSZ28BLOWN, here's your instructions.

(1) go to this URL:

http://www.spohn.net/index.cfm?fusea...t&productid=88

(2) click "add to cart"

(3) click "checkout"

(4) fill in the "billing information" and "shipping information". Only fill out "shipping information" if it's different from your "billing information".

(5) in "other information" select the appropriate car year and model, and the ship to address type

(6) in COMMENTS, put SLP-GP-3 on the first line, and then on each extra line, put each SLP part number you are interested in. FOR EXAMPLE, my comments box is:

SLP-GP-3
30002 1 5/8 2-cat W/AIR
30024 2-cat install kit
30102 special socket

(7) click on PROCEED

(8) enter your CC information (no, you don't get to see an example of my CC information!)

(9) click ORDER

(10) encourage others to join in the group purchase

Ok, i am gonna take with my dad tonight and find out what the deal is.... (he is helping me pay for it)

Anyways... i would love to take the position... I am interested in the new chrome look headers they have... in the size of 1 3/4

And i need to know if i need A.I.R. or not..
I have a 1992 z28 350TPI

Other then the headers, which install kit do i need for the installation? Do those kits come with EVERYTHING u need other then tools... like gaskets, and bolts and what-not...

This is my first time i am ordering anything for this car, and i just need to make sure all is well

assuming your car is otherwise factory stock, then yes you definately have AIR on the car right now. Whether you keep it is between you, and your local government/smog laws. I'd suggest you just keep it since it's already there.

The correct install kit is the 2-cat install kit, number 30024.

The install kit comes with all the gaskets and stuff you should need, at least the stuff predicted by SLP. If your car is already modded or has different cats or exhaust work already done to it, then it may end up needing more or less, it's hard to say. anytime you work on a car you might need extra or different parts. you might need different spark plug wire boots for example, and those don't come with the kit. and depending on your current exhaust you might need the cats welded up. it's really hard to say. but the install kit will definately come with all of the obvious stuff you need.

search through the archives on this board, you will find lots of people's experiences with headers and it will give you a feel for the job.

92zeddar:

you need dual cat with AIR headers (unless you plan to remove or have already removed the AIR). So your only decision is if you want 1 5/8 primaries or 1 3/4 primaries.

If you want 1 5/8 primaries: #30002
If you want 1 3/4 primaries: #30003

Both versions are $415.00 with the group purchase. You will also need the install kit, #30024, which will end up being $59.95. All told you save around $100 by going through the group purchase.

Check out www.slponline.com and you can see these part numbers and pictures and more.

Let us know.

So would p/n 30038 be the correct number for a 3" cat adaptor? I don't see a GP price listed for one. Or are the cat adaptors included in the install kits?

you would have to contact steve spohn to find out the exact price for the cat adapter. It is available through the GP (anything in the headers group at SLP is available) but we don't know the pricing on that specific item.

sorry.

I am 100% sure that I will get in on the GP if there's still room..I don't know WHICH part I need though..
I have a 91 G92 L98 GTA, and I want coated and an install kit..the SLP website is failing to load, as I am on vacation in Switzerland right now..
I'll be having them shipped to DALLAS, TX

Edit- I know that I want 1 3/4, but I don't know if I have AIR or double/single cat..is double cat better for performance? Thanks for the help..

if you have a 91 L98, then your car came from the factory with twin cats. It also came from the factory with A.I.R.

You can not get the twin-cat AIR headers with the ceramic coating. SLP does not have a part number for such an item.

Yes, double cats is better for performance.

You have to decide if you want coated (and go to a single cat header system) or are OK with uncoated (or will get them coated elsewhere) in order to keep your dual cats.

There are no big heat differences between coated and none coated are there?

this will prob make my decision to keep dual cats or go single...

I've heard that the coated ones might keep more heat in the exhaust. I don't really know.

Can anyone else pitch in here?

I had 2 people cancel earlier, we were at 6 until they cancelled.

I just got another order which puts us at 6 if everyone is still in. Let me know how to proceed.

AWESOME!
I'd give it 24 hours for any stragglers to put in an order if they want to get in at the last minute, and then finish this GP.

I fear that if we lose any more, we may never make it back to six.

so let's do this ASAP.

everyone else agree?

YES! Don't lollygag around and wait for more people though, it seems like we lose people pretty quickly.
