Spohn SLP Group Purchase revisited

From reading the 216 post thread, I gather we need 6 or more people for the next group purchase of SLP headers. I want headers, so I'll get this new thread going. (Because frankly, it's taking my browser forever to render those huge pages. )

Here's the info from page 2 of the other post:

Non-Coated:

30000 $415.00
30002 $415.00
30004 $385.00
30016 $345.00

30001 $415.00
30003 $415.00
30005 $385.00
30014 $385.00

Headers Available Coated:

30000C $595.00
30001C $595.00
30005C $515.00

Installation Kits:

30018: $99.95 - $89.95
30022: $69.95 - $63.95
30024: $59.95 - $53.95
30028: $32.95 - $29.50

On installation kits and cat adapters above, first price is if 2-5 people order a kit, the second price is if 6+ people order a kit.

Shipping:

If my total with SLP is less than $2500.00, they will be drop shipped from SLP to you. Headers are $40.00 shipping. Installation kits are $8.95 to $11.95 depending on which kit you order. The higher priced kits
are $11.95 and so on.

If my total order with SLP is more then $2500.00, everything will ship direct to me via truck freight which is included in my price, no additional charge. I will then ship them to you via FedEx Ground and you
will be charged the actual FedEx Ground charge, which I'm sure will be less than $40.00 for headers

Thanks,
Steve

Prices Go up?

How come the prices went up from the last group purchase? Now it's not that great of a deal. If the price was at 340 (Like he first group purchase) for the 30004 then i would be in. But i don't know now. it's not much differnet from anywhere else.

I am part of the second group purchase for these headers and we still have to heard anything about a delivery date. It has been over a month since we started the 2nd group purchase. I would recommend everyone just call SLP and place the order directly. It cost a little more but it may be worth it. That way you can keep track of the order. Steve is very busy and has not been able to give us many update. This waiting sucks. Good luck if you are part of the GP.

I took a look at the link (you have to take /url off the end of it to get it to work). It looks like he has last year's prices listed, the ones that Spohn had on the original GP. I emailed him to ask if the prices were still valid.

If they are, I'm switching GPs. I'd rather pay the original $375 than $415 for a set of 30003s.

SLP prices went up January 15, that's why they're higher now.

The 2nd GP orders all shipped. I shipped them out as soon as they came in, I couldn't ship what I didn't have.

You also save on shipping getting them through our deal. SLP charges $40.00 shipping. On the last GP the shipping prices were $12-$25 depending on your location, as we only charge the actual shipping charge.

If I were to get in on this GP and for some strange reason needed to send the headers back, who would I send them back to? I don't think I'd need to, but I'd like to know just in case.

Don't see why you'd need to. But, if there was a problem, you'd deal with me, and I'd deal with SLP.

I recieved my headers(30000C) yesterday and they are awesome. Can't wait to install them. :lala:

Does that place make cats for dual cat cars? That price is half what Summit charges for (1) catco cat for my car.

The cat that I have is 3" in/out slip fit. They do make cats for dual exhaust. You can go to www.car-sound.com to check out the different cats.

Dave,

I have the new SLP master price sheet and it does not list that part number. It may be something they released after 01/15/02?

Hello Steve, They have the #30084 on their website on clearance for 299.95, maybe they have discontinued it from their new catalog, anyway if you can get them any cheaper I will take them , and it will increase your numbers on the group purchase. Thanks for your efforts, Dave dhamil@texas.net

Is it possible to have my order shipped to Jet-Hot or a ceramic coater to have mine ceramic coated or can Spohn get this done for me?

When is this going to be shipped and paid for?

I want the 30003 dual cat headers and 30024 install kit.

I found a local place that will do the ceramic coating....so shipped directly to me is fine.

BTW, $415 for the 30003 headers is better than the SLP calender coupon for 10% off in May. They would still be $449.90 with the coupon from SLP.

I bought mine from Summit. $551 for the 30003 headers and the 30026 install kit to my door. I had them in 3 days. It's a lot cheaper than getting them from SLP directly.

Dual cat kit with AIR is 30003.

For everyone's info, Jet Hot charges around 200 to coat 30003's. Getting mine back this week.

halfway there!

kevosiroc, there are several different part numbers that will fit your car. You'll need to either be more specific or go to the SLP website and figure out which headers you want.

There's a 50+ post thread on that in another forum if you search. Personally, I like the SLP headers because of how the pipes merge in the collector. All the pipes keep the same radius in the collector.

And they just look great Jet-Hot coated.

1. the onley one isee coated is 3000c for 654. 95, way to much.

To answer your first question, any of the part numbers with C on the end are coated, and their prices for the group purchase are listed at the very top of this thread. 3000C's are $595.00 here.

As for questions 2 and 3, if you are thinking about getting a high-flow cat, then the catalyst adapter you need will depend on what kind of cat you get. Any cat will fit with the right adapter. If you get a 3" inlet cat, the TPI cat adapter should fit.

To answer question 4, if you get headers with AIR, you will need a modified air conditioner bracket, which is included in SLP's installation kit along with gaskets, bolts, etc.

We need to know ASAP. The sooner we get people added to the list, the sooner we all get our headers.

Count me in for a set of 30003's un-coated. Also need the Installation Kit. How many more do you need to make the order? Come on guys this isn't a bad deal on a really great set of headers. When do you need the bones, and who do we pay?

If kevosiroc and bubbareno figure out what they want, then we'll only need one more person.

92BLKL98, the deal is that when we get 6 or more people we pay Steve Spohn, he buys the headers, they ship 'em to him, then he ships 'em to us. If I'm not mistaken, he checks this thread every once in a while to see how it's doing. Details on payment can be found in the other thread, but we'll dig up the details on that when the time comes. I'm not sure how the installation kits fit into this, but I believe that there is only a discount on installation kits if more than one person wants one.

Great, I'm not really sure if I really need the installation kit. What does it include? For 60.00 - 100.00 should be quite a bit of hardware. Come on guys let's get going on this so we can all get a decent deal.
