Help! Busted dual cat pipe!
Help! Busted dual cat pipe!
I ran over a damn bear at 75 mph and Fu*ked up my cat pipe. This part is $900 new, so i'm looking for a used one or any other viable alternative. I've taken it to several muffler shops, but the crack is betweenthe parallel section. Help!

Yea, it's one o' them stories you would tell over a couple cold ones. I was rippin' through the Blue Ridge mountains at 0 dark thirty, coming home from a TDY (Millitary temporary duty) and I came around this blind corner only to find smokey lying in the middle of the friggin' road! I didn't even have time to blink, then I wuz airborn. Man I knew my car could fly, but this was ridiulous:sillylol: ANYWAY...it was pretty smushed up from several tractor trailers so it just kinda acted like a ramp, I was sh*tin' kittins while my luggage flew all over the the place.
I had installed all new front end parts as well as new tires a couple of months before, and now I had a right tie-rod end that resembled a boomarang. Had to drive 2500 miles back to Utah like that. Chewed up my brand new tires as well
.
Back to the exhaust, 'cause it's a dual cat set-up as well as an EMISSIONS part, it would cost me that much to get it replaced. I think i'm screwed. Man, I hate bears.
