Well, what's your budget, SLP makes the best headers but for a 305 a cheaper brand will be fine. As far as cat-back, you'll get mixed answers between Hooker and FlowM, I prefer the Hooker. I have a sound clip in the sig, I hear it's not working, if you want I can email you the file. Or thru AIM, my screen name is buffshields350

around $300-$400 for coated headers. as for the rest that will fall into place. But when looking for headers, with strait dual, should i be looking at w/AIR and cat or what?

Not sure, so you want duals, I thought the exhaust guy wouldn't do it, then you won't be able to get the cat-backs I mentioned, probably a smaller diameter pipe and mufflers would be good, I like the Hooker Aerochamber.

I got duals and I love em. It sounds louder and better than most of the 5.0s I've seen. Very deep at low rpms and very loud at high (4500+). Here are some pics of the exhuast system. Check the sig. All I got to say is FLOWMASTER.:hail: :hail: :hail:

ive always pondered the thought of true duals and a h pipe, but wondered about price and ground clearance issues. please give me details on how you got it done and does your car ever scrape on the ground?

Thanks for the compliments. The whole thing (minus the headers) cost $250. It was done at a local muffler shop called Dannys. They do kickass work. I have never bottomed out with this system. I put air shocks in the rear to stiffen it up. The balancer pipe was an extra 35 bucks. Not sure how much power the pipe added but it made the car sound meaner than hell.

The set up is nice, but from what I have heard from talking to people, the "H" pipe defeats the purpose of hedders. You might be better of going with "X" pipe. The H pipe causes turblence in the air flow making it more restrictive. But where did you hang the strap for the mufflers?

H-Pipes help out a lot, that's why a lot of Mustang guys pick up power from, though the X-Pipe is good too. I had a H-Pipe on my stang.
