Anyone ever tried these?????

Ramhorns or old chevelle, nova , exhaust manifolds. Will they fit our f body engine bays? Was looking at'em on ebay and they got to flow better than my stock ones. The old general sb chevy manifold looks to offer easy access to spark plugs. Any experience out there?

Personally, I would just save up for some headers.

center dump manifolds will hit the engine mount I belive. Look for rear exit manifolds like stock. Maybe LT1 manifolds would work.

Headers would make a nice difference over manifolds.

Since I'm so inexperienced which I admit there's a lot I don't know, why don't you explain it for me so I can help someone with a similar question in the future.

Sure ,No problem, When first you look at a post think....now how can I best help this person find the answers to his question. That's all, real easy. I asked for someone with experience in exhaust manifolds to help me out. I didn't post my question...."What should I do with my stock manifolds?"

Maybe he figured he would suggest a better mod that would kinda make more sense and give you a better gain in power?! Suggestions are OK dude, even just for reference.

Exactly, why go thru the trouble for other manifolds. That's like me asking will the LG4 peanut cam work in my 350. It's a better cam than I have now ( ) but really is it worth changing to that cam when I could get a better one.

Rams horns - no, they do NOT flow better than our factory manifolds!

Old Chevelle - slightly better than rams horns.

Your best be for manifolds would be 3rd gen-type L69, LB9, or L98 pieces. Bud here has L98's on his ZZ3, spent some time with the die grinder opening them up at the ports; with a dual-cat setup and a bunch of other mods, that system supports mid-13's (corrected).

He'd be faster with headers, but you aren't concerned about that.

Thanks for the info 5seven, It's justthat I happen to like the way that the sparkplug wires look and route with the earlier manifolds. Thats all , It's that simple. I was thinking , at the same time they might also flow just a little better than my stock lg4's.

You'll like the look of headers (especially coated) better.

And if you are gonna go with manifolds anyway to make some kind of improvement, you're gonna want to go with the 1's from 89-92 TPI's.
