This is a scam trust me. He texted me too. I had him email me pictures of the rims and he sent me pics from google. He said they were 16 inch gta rims off of an 85 trans am. Black 16 inch did not come on trans ams till 86. Watch out, has SCAM written all over it.

Sorry, but the majority of us usually try to avoid listings like these (low prices, no pics, multiple listings, low post counts, lack of classified add feedback). Have to assume the worst anymore. Course there has been times when I've been wrong also.

this is why I don't deal unless it's through pay pal, at least that way you can get your money back if somebody tries to screw you over. I talked to this dude because I wanted that exhaust, but he said it was by money order only, so it wasn't worth the risk to me. Might be a good deal for you local guys tho if he actually has the parts

that is the strange part. I am local but his price was shipped or local pick up was the same. I can see a typo but when he puts a number down to contact him and list the item as new but will need to be taken off, I find it strange. The price was fair but someone in California can pay the same amount and didn't have to drive to him. turned me off of the deal. I am probably 20 minutes away.

I also noticed that he had a previous ad listing a zip code as 63139, which is St. Louis but Webster Groves. He now has a different zip code as well as a diffeent name. I can also call him from a St. Louis number and ask what the story is. Maybe he needs help on how to deal with shipping one hood to two different people....
I Can help out here and do know local police that would be more than happy to find this guy. If he has NOT sent anything, then he has committed mail fraud. I know he has an ad looking for a new place to live. He does live over by Lambert Airport right now or at least that is the address I got from another member. You are not screwed yet but EVERYONE who sent money needs to get copies to a MODERATOR and I will be happy to follow-up with local police and go to his house with the police. People can be tracked down and this guy seems to e a regular on CL. He had had some issues and hassles with the city so the police know him! I just need documents so I can help, if I just stop by I will look like I am full of $hit and have no leg to stand on. Pass this along to a MOD so they can have all the info they need to end this type of criminal behavior.

SEND INFO TO A MODERATOR (anyone know one to get involved) - Copy of the receipt, proof it was cashed, ANY correspondence you had with him (screen prints work well for that). I want a MOD to make a decision on how to handle this. I am willing to help but kind of want board approval. If I have this info I can go to the local police.
For future reference, if some people will only accept other forums of payment than PayPal - pay with Postal Money Order ONLY. This falls under mail fraud and they WILL prosecute. This has become a pretty common practice for thieves and have heard numerous stories of people getting busted. I am older and when I first started buying items off the internet, there was NO PAYPAL. I did all money orders and no problems.

I have a digital copy of the check I wrote and his signature on the back. I also have screenshots of our entire business transaction that happened via text message.

Please let me know who you want me to send this information too and if you need any help with the police report; I more than agree that this is the next step to take.

I either want the parts or my money back. Guys like this should be held accountable.

I have contacted JT. He did tell me that cainestl wanted his account deleted here, then he didn't. As the site admin there is not much they can do because they have rules & guidelines but don't deal with the money end of it. There is feedback system that is to be used. I will drive past his house today & get the local police involved by getting you a detective contact info.
