Some of you may know my car, for those of you who don't see below...



I've gotten some feedback of people who said they'd be interested in buying the "Aero Kit" I made for my car. After a lot of research and leg work I decided that I would like to start reproducing it. All pieces were hand made from 1/4" thick ABS plastic and I have been running this outfit for quite a few years now with no trouble. It's durable and being plastic takes quite a bit of abuse without fail. I've been very happy with it.
Here's the deal, in order to offer these at a price that I don't feel is highway robbery, I had to make a deal with my ABS supplier and promise 10 orders before I can start making them. So with that being said...

 

 

 

Please note, I have yet to confirm if the spoiler will fit the non-brake light version of the 3-piece spoiler. I am currently trying to find that spoiler to test fit on. The spoiler will NOT fit the convertible spoiler or the 91-92 high-rise spoiler

The front splitter WILL fit all years however the filler pieces may not work with the older pre 91' ground effects. I will need to test fit that to confirm. However the splitter can be run without the filler pieces as the support rods are adjustable and can be tucked up closer to the ground effects (I actually ran it without the filler pieces for the first couple years).

 

Wow, beautiful hot rod and nicely done. I’m very interested and truly hope you get your ten orders. I would order it now but I’m in the middle of my LS3/6L80E swap and hopefully it will be running by Thanksgiving.

I think it's neat that you are sharing your custom creations with other people. I hope it inspires more people to do the same.

 

I think it looks awesome, but at the same time, I am confused.

Do you need 10 of one piece for that individual piece to be produced? Is it 10 of the complete package?
I think it will be difficult to find 10 people willing to pay $2000 for a full plastic aerodynamics kit, but easier to get 10 people willing to pay for just the splitter or diffuser separately.

 

10 of any piece. Asking for 10 of the full kit is unrealistic (although would be tremendous). No even if it's just 10 of the front splitters this will be a go. That will be enough of a commitment for my supplier to honor the price he quoted me. Then it's set in stone an all orders will be taken as they come in.
But to date, I have 0 orders. Unfortuantly, if this doesn't take off by the end of the year. I'm scrapping the whole idea.

 

This is shown on a 91-92 car. I believe there are subtle differences in the ground effects on those years compared to 85-90 Iroc z gfx. Has there been any work to see how this fits older cars? Can you also provide a closer view of how parts are constructed and fastened together I regards to front and rear

I've made several trips to the local pick a parts here trying to find a test model for the early style ground effects but unfortunatly third gens are becoming rare. I've asked locally for anyone willing to donate their car and time for a quick test fit but no takers either. Until I can see if this will fit I can't be 100% sure.

Will the front splitter work with 85-90 trans am front Bumpers? Whats the thickness of the ABS for the front splitter?

Id really be interested in a front splitter if youre considering selling. I do have a pre 91 ground affect though

 

Man I just ran across this thread and got excited only to find out there wasn’t enough interest. This is such a good idea too.
