FOUND: original (Trico) wiper blades
I'm looking for original wiper blades for my 1987 Camaro -- specifically Trico black metal frames in the "short frame" style -- meaning the frame is about 15" long even though it holds an 18" refill. (I already have the 18" refills.)
I would love a NOS pair, but I would also settle for a good used pair.
My offered price would obviously depend on condition.
It would have to be shipped to zip code 10589, unless you are in the area.
Thanks,
John

I looked. No wiper blades, just 1 set of unused (NIB) Trico 43-180 refills from 2003.
I saw that RockAuto still has Trico. Maybe a current blade is close to your stock ones?

Thanks for looking, NoEmissions84TA.
Well, I believe all the recent Tricos have numerous differences compared to what originally came on the car. The originals would have a "Trico Made in USA" logo on it. I don't think the new ones have that. They also do not have the shorter metal frame. This older discussion highlights the various differences:

Well, if anyone else has some original Trico blades (NOS or used), please let me know.
Thanks, John!

Re: WTB: original (Trico) wiper blades
After looking last night, I have a box of blades, all different manufacturers.
There are some NAPA blades and IIRC, there is an 18-2 on the package.
I read through the other post. Now that I know what I'm looking at,
I will take another look.

Sorry. The NAPA number unfortunately was 60-018-1.
At least I now know to look for the pin style of blades from now on.
Something to add to my next RockAuto order.

Okay.
I appreciate you taking the time to look though, NoEmissions84TA!
Hopefully, someone else may have what I'm looking for.

Re: FOUND: original (Trico) wiper blades
On Ebay, I finally found a pair of Trico wiper blades that were originally from a 1985 Camaro.
I bought those, along with a set of Camaro wiper arms that I don't need.
(Besides, the wiper arms aren't the right ones for my car, as the wiper arms on my 1987 Camaro
have the nozzles right on the arms.)
I thought I might have to refinish or repaint them, but when I received them, they were nicer than I
expected. (They must have been removed from a low mileage car.) After cleaning them up
and adding a few dabs of touch-up paint, they came out very nice.
Here are a couple of photos after the touch-up work:
The matte black on the wiper blades is very similar to what is on my original wiper arms,
so I'm satisfied!
