Harbor Freight has a 12ton bender. I don't know if its what you are looking for though. I'm going to try and get one tomorrow.

HDC has them:

See Tube Bender Thread it is about 14 pages long. Around page 12-13 you will find a link to CAD drawings with dimensions for a JD2 style bender.

This may help out more. I bought all the pcs. needed for the die, and the hardened steel rod. Total cost with shipping was $266. I am using 1/4" steel for the frame.

Keep in mind, that a pipe bender and a tube bender are two different things. It has to do with the way wall thicknesses are measured, so if you buy a pipe bender, you may not get it to do what you want.

Good point. I bought a pipe bender from HDC a couple weeks ago. I soon realized it won't bend tubing w/o kinking it. After searching the net, I found the blind chicken racing site, and went to work. Parts should be here the first of March.

I used a Ridgid pipe bender(an American brand I believe) to make a rollbar for 2 cars amongst other things.Very easy to use.It just so happens that the tubing I used fitted right into one of the pipe bending formers.Pipe is usually measured on the INSIDE diameter whereas tubing on the OD. Heres the rollbar in my friends car, mine is the same.Hope it goes well it's certainly the way forward.

Here is a link to a modified Pro-Tools similar to the blind chicken bender, the guy replaced the bottle jack with a small hydraulic ram. It's at the very bottom of the page.

A helpful hint to all,

If using a bender that "pipe crush" is a concern- simply fill the pipe first with sand. This will help prevent it from collapsing.
