Fender Bender

Does anyone know what the best way is to go about beating out a rear quarter pannel? I got backed into in a parking lot and I don't have the money to take it to a collision repair shop.... Any info would be greatly appriciated

how bad is it crumpled? If there are some real good creases in it the metal would require more work than its worth to keep that panel. If its real bad i would find a good 1/4 off another car, cut the old one off and weld the new on.

It's not to bad noticable but not crushed... to put it this way the plunger is just a bit to small to pull the dent out... it's about 7 inches all the way across and only one crease....

Is it anywhere you can remove plastic to get at the back side of the fender, got backed into in the pits one day, luckily before the new paint, but was able to remove plastic and pop it out from the inside. I've also heard dry ice will sometimes pop out some minor dents with no major creases to hinder the "pop back" when the metal shrinks.

I heard of guys that have a big rubber end on a air hammer and "work" from the inside...

getting to it from the backside with a rubber hammer and/or body spoons is your best bet, with a small pick hammer on the outside.

The dry ice is more for hail dents, door dings w/o creases. Say, no more then half/sliver doller size.
