Fiberglass headliner??
hey guys i was wondering has anyone tried to do a fiderglass headliner for the hard tops,NOT T-topd?? if soo how did it work out and how did u do it? i was going to try it and using the original head liner for the template make the mold and go from there. this would only be my second fiberglass venture! if anyone has any pointers i sure could use them. thanks in advance - TOT
Are you worried about destroying your old headliner? If not, you could always just glass over it. If you want to make a mold though, I would cover the old one with something like aluminum foil, or something that can be smoothed and molded relatively easy, then coat it with wax and fiberglass around it to make a mold.

so now its back to the drawing board. ill prolly still do it in fider but ill have to do some smoothing out where the seat belts went through. i think im going to try glassin a dash cover see how that turns out, anyone do that? and have pics?

I think I've seen a fiberglass dashpad done before. It was on someone elses car. The backseat housed several subwoofers on a fiberglass wall and the dashpad was painted a neon green to match the car and subwoofer box. It might have just been spray paint on the vinyl dashpad though.
If you get into fiberglass and like working with it, then you might try taking the dashpad one step further and fiberglass a complete dash assembly. I doubt it would be that hard to get some foam to cut out your design on and make a mold. Harwood use to make a fiberglass camaro replacement dash but the model has been discontinued for a long time. I've seen them on ebay rarely ususally worth around 400 to 500 bucks.
