Ram air on stock Transam TPI hood?

I'm wondering if the 'fake' intakes on a Thirdgen TA could be fabricated to be used for ramair? I just picked up an 88 GTA with a L98 in it, all stock and would like to keep the original hood, I would like to get a ram air system built using the original hood though. Has anyone done something similar?

I took out the grills behind the vents and cut open holes in the hood behind, when you do this youllsee that looking down the grills there is really not alot of room at all to fab up a ram air setup of any kind. Im talking like around an inch of space from the top radiator support to the hood.

I did it mostly just to bring fresh air to my open element air cleaner and it does the trick (well, one of the tricks, ive done a few) as my aircleaner stays pretty cool all the time. It barely is warm after driving around for awhile.
