Switch panels
Easy to fab, but I can't think of a spot to put one! I need space for 6 switchs, fuel pump, lockup, line lock, nitrous arming switch, fan, and one empty in case I install something elese (maybe just an electric shutoff for now. I was going to make something at work with a brake press, then powder coat it. I want to make it so its not really even noticeable. Doesn't need to be hidden, but I don't want it to be the first thing yo see when you look in. Anyone have ideas or pics of where they mounted theres? So far All I can think of is making a panel to fit where the ash try is.
i used to have 6 rocker switches that were hidden in my ashtray on my firebird. For the plastic, i took the lid off of a radio shack project box thingy and cut it up. I just had the plastic slightly oversized so it was pinched it there. I never did find a better place for switches. Maybe you could get an overhead console off of ebay and fab something up.

Ok here is my idea. And what I did. Def not hidden, but you can't really see it till you are in the car.
The panel being made

reinforcing the back and running the wires.

and finally the switches installed with covers, there are also 2 more on the console area that do other stuff.
Hope you like it, or that any of this helps.

LOL, yeah it does. I love cockpits of planes, so i guess that makes sence. I have another switch panel still. A lot of switches overall. I love'em.

Wow thanks for that link, gave me lots of ideas. So far the only switvh panel I;ve made up was for my nitrous arming switch, which I put where my rear defrost button was. It already had power to it
Dennis I really like that headliner idea, but where did you run the wires? (down the pillars?)
