Engine stand
I stole this idea, but figured that I would post it. I made this engine/transmission stand out of 1 1/4 boxed steel. It cost me about $30 and was a fun project.

Wheels would be nice, but the cost of them made it not worthwhile. I can move it with my engine hoist, or with some muscle it can be pushed on the floor.

I had it set up once, but the little gear box had brass gears and they didn't live through the testing phase. I do have the sprocket mounted to the back of the shaft still, just waiting to find an appropiate gear box and try it again.
