Front Chin Spoiler 91-92 Trans Am?

Anybody seen any sort of front lower spoiler for the 91-92 bird? Or made one? I would think that front end could use a little more frontal downforce on the front but I guess I could be wrong.Or even a suggestion on what I could mount it to. Would the bottom of the bumper cover, tied to the fender gfx pieces be enough?

i know this is old but i was looking through your threads for a 5.3/T56 swap thread and saw this. I have seen the lower chin spoiler twice in my life so far, once in person and one online, i think a company made an aftermarket chin spoiler that did in fact mount to the bullet shaped lower ground effects for a short time, made the front lower valance look like a mouth, i spent 4 months looking around, calling, searching CL and ebay for one--just cant seem to find one. one guy in AZ told me that he heard of them but probably went out of business back in the mid 90's and also made sense i couldnt find one since many of them probably got damaged from scraping/sharp inclined drive-ways etc.

The predator kit used one. It was just an extension of the nose downward about 4"

Those kits had the ferarri like fins grafted to the doors

i actually kinda like that, i think i would slightly modify it to fit the cars style alittle better but its not too shabby and gives the car a distinct front end, almost newer looking.

That is pretty badass looking! Much better than the stock '91-'92 nose, no offense Ian!

Interesting. One of the better looking body kits for our cars that I've seen.

I never have liked chin spoilers. I usually hear the same when owners break them off from junk in the road. Never mind the issues joining fiberglass kit pieces to a urethane bumper

I agree. I like the way it looks, but I would never install it on my car. I actually like the lack of a chin spoiler on the '91/92 'Birds. Makes it a lot easier to navigate the roads & curbs not to mention the way the outer front bumper helps channel air into the radiator.

Re: Front Chin Spoiler 91-92 Trans Am?

I found an old pic in my collection of firebird pics I've been downloading since the late 90s. I got it off of cardomain a while back, no idea who's car it is. It has a 91-92 formula front bumper with bottom of a 85-90 trans am bumper attached to it. I doubt its photoshopped since its such an old picture. I think its possible to make with some kind of epoxy or something that can bond urethane parts together.

I remember that car. Actually I think that's one of the reasons I first made this thread. I had that picture a few hard drives ago but never knew the origins. I think there was a sequence of 3 pictures...
