5 pt. Harness Bar Ideas
I am no longer going with a roll bar to save time and money but need something to hook my harness straps to. I was thinking about fabbing up a harness bar (similar to a strut bar) that would bolt to the stock rear over the shoulder seatbelt locations.
Ideas?

Re: 5 pt. Harness Bar Ideas
It is absolutly not safe to run with a harness bar like that. That being said, I do use 4-points when I auto-x but that is just to hold me in the seat, at 30mph with nothing to hit, I doubt I will be involved in anything that would cause a problem.
IF you plan on using these on the streets, full track, drag strip, etc. PLEASE make sure you have real roll over protection. And that you follow the harness manufactures and/or sactioning body's mounting rules for mounting them. The factor 3-point belts are designed to keep you in your seat and safe, in a roll over, your head can move towards the center of the car, should the roof collaps. With 4/5/6-point harness', you head becomes the roll bar.
