Is it possible to make a ram air hood out of the stock 88 trans am hood without water leaking into the engine compartment ?

Re: Homemade ram air
There is a post on here of a guy that did, but I think it is so restrictive I don't think it really helped much. I plan on cutting out the support under my hood and re welding a bigger channel and trying to make it work. I need to find a clean hood though I don't want to destroy mine trying. Also the hood is so flat you won't get much "RAM AIR" I only think there is about 1" of rise over the length of the vents. And it is getting to get deflected air from the bumper. Could very well be a vacuum right there.

Re: Homemade ram air
IM TRYING IT RIGHT NOW
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/body...-92-trans.html
I HAD A 01 TRANS AM WITH A HARDWOOD RAMAIR HOOD, WITH WATER HOLES AND NO BAFFLES, IT ONE DEALS WHEN THE CAR IS SHUT OFF IN THE RAIN THE WATER DRAINS OUT, WHEN IT RUNNING IN THE RAIN NOT ENOUGHT WATER ENTERS THE RAM AIR TO EVEN MAKE IT STUDDER.
