Re: Ram Air ?????

Depends on your fabrication and welding skills. And to what degree/what type? Hood with Ram Air? Snorkel running out the nose? Cowl Induction type?

There are MANY ways to achieve it, depending on how functional vs cosmetic you want it in the end.

Re: Ram Air ?????

We don't know what type of Ra Air you are looking for. Hidden? Scoop? Part of the hood?

Need more info. Way too many ways to achieve Ram Air.

Re: Ram Air ?????

sorry redline. i'm not trying to jack ur thread here.

i have an 84 t/a with the power bulge hood. i thought about getting the vents of of an 85 and newer t/a. then cutting 2 holes in my hood. incerting the camaro air box that Hawks sells for tpi camaros. so it would pic air up from there and the windshield. do u guys think that would work??

Are you talking about this? If so, take a look at the bottom of your hood. T/A's have a funky dip downward in their bracing right there that Camaro's dont. You may have to cut out that whole area. Im in the process of modding my car for a Camaro dual snorkle air cleaner and thats one, of many, issues Im running into.

yeah that is the one i'm talkin about. i'm not to crazy about cutting my fact hood for the 2 vents found on 85 and newer t/a's,much less cutting out that bracing u are talkin about. i know exactly what u mean.

as i said before i have 2 air breathers. but the main problem i am running into with the dual snorkel set-up is the AC line. will an AC line from the camaro fit. it is longer and crosses over the fan shroud. but i'm not sure if my hood will close, again b/c of that lower hood brace. getting rid of my AC is not an option.

Re: Ram Air ?????

I would think so, but I would'nt be willing to put money on it. The only thing I can think of for you is to go buy some clay put it on the fan shroud and close your hood then open it back up and measure the clay to see how much clearance you have between the hood and shroud. BTW after you set the clay down spray it with some WD40, or similar product, so it does'nt stick to the hood and stretch when you open the hood back up.

Re: Ram Air ?????

Why is it that anytime I am reading a thread you always throw out that you have these air induction sets for sale. They have nothing to do with the hood or your product Southern_Iroc85. You can get a better price and product at Hawks. If you want to sell them go to the for sale board instead of posting a thread in the middle of someone else's. Sorry my two cents
