Man, you are really pushing these things. I bet every one of your posts is trying to sell these. Dont you have anything else to talk about? BTW, what you made is very similar(from what I can tell from your pics anyway) to what Hawks sells.

looks nice. neat idea. does it make the electric fan work harder b/c less airflow to cool it?

Re: Custom Dual Snorkal Ram Air!!
i donno about a stock car but i have a lower temp thermostat and the fan runs no different. plus your only taking air from two holes behind the fog light that are only like 5X4 or something each..there is plenty of open space for air to hit the fan

Re: Custom Dual Snorkal Ram Air!!
LOL, I would'nt buy one because I do have the ability, I also have a Trans Am which it wont work on(which apparently you havent realized since I keep seeing you trying to sell them to T/A owners). You "sell em to work on your car", yet in your first post you're just "thinking about producing them"? Which is it? Nevermind, it really does'nt matter to me. I just think its BS that's all you're using this site for. If you want to sell something there is a "parts for sale" section, you dont need to reply to every topic or start new ones to push your product. Im surprised the moderators have let it go.
btw, here's the Hawks unit, in interest of fair trade

$100, made from stainless steel.

I wouldn't quit your day job. Doubtful you'll sell very many of these since 3rd gen are a dying breed anyways.

Re: Custom Dual Snorkal Ram Air!!
No offense but if Im understanding your comment correctly that's the dumbest thing Ive read in awhile. Their value is starting to come up as we sit here. Just like second gens. their price will be through the roof in a couple of years. F-bodies will never "die", especially since when GM quit making them people realized their value and potential. Every car goes through a time period where they're undervalued. Like I said about second gens. I used to buy and sell them for under a grand all the time. Now you cant buy a rusted out shell for that.

i live in florida...ive never had a probelm with water and i rains here like crazy... you would have to go thru at least 10-12 inches of water to even hit the bottom lip of the ram boxes

I'd like to thank southern_iroc85 !
His detailed photos @
http://www.flickr.com/photos/24427198@N07/
really got me thinking of how
I could make my own "ram" - fresh air boxes.
The photos of the boxes from Hawks 3rd gen
did not have as many views.
http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...OD&ProdID=1051
Unlike a lot of you guys I have no talent at
making things & I'm not a very good do-it-yourselfer.
I also don't have a lot of tools.
I had already tried the aluminum dryer ducting.
The results were less than satisfactory.
But I after trial & error I was able to fashion
my own boxes.
While they are not as finely crafted
as those offered here for sale,
they can be made
for a little over $10 in parts.
I also had to buy sheet metal scissors for $12.50
and I spent an additional $5.00 to make a prototype
to test fit & make mistakes on.
So my total was $27.50 + tax or right around $30.

Sorry,
I thought I put a link to my Cardomain page #8.
That is where I've posted detailed step by step instructions,
hand drawings & a few photos of the finished product.
I'm not very good with computers, and was unable
to figure out how to post photos here.
So here is the link.....
