Fuel lines AN sizes??
I need to replace my fuel lines and would rather go with stainless ones. (sorry but i cropped this pic off this site, I hope the owner doesnt mind).
I know I need these fittings that fit on the fuel rails, but what about the rest??. do i get -6an female to screw onto the ones pictured here??, and what size stainless hose fits the -6an and what does my tpi need?? 3/8th hose??

AN fittings go like this
-4 = 1/4" ie 4/16" of an inch.
so
-6 is 6/16" or 3/8"
So yes, you would use -6.
I'm not sure what your original fuel rails need, but I doubt it's AN, that's typically not factory. I'd guess it's an inverted flare?
yes, the one in your second picture needs female AN fittings to connect to it.
Do you want to use high pressure hose, or hardlines with AN fittings? AN ONLY refers to the fittings having a 37* flare, that's it. Hardline or hose is still up to you.

go with -06 braided stainless and get the female fittings if you do it all the way to the tank you should take th etank out and remove the sending unit (good time to replace if needed) and have a radiator shop braze steel AN fittings on or if you chop it off at the engine bay and plan on using AN get a 37 degree flare kit. you have to use the 37 degree kit because if you try and use a standard 45 kit it will leak.

You need to supply a little more information about what you'd really like to do in order to get more specific information. How much of the system you want to replace, etc.
that said, if you are looking to change the hard/soft lines from the TPI fuel rail to the body fuel lines, you need to get those fitting you posted a picture of, and you would need 2 sets. The factory fuel lines use an o-ring 'saginaw' fitting at both ends. additionally, the feed is 3/8" and the return is 5/16". If you buy the adapters, they are -6, so you would use -6 braided hose for both lines. adapters would be installed at either end, both at the engine, and at the body fuel lines. The braided hoses would then be 2 -6 hoses with standard female ends. you need to make sure you get both size adapters however, as I mentioned, they are different between feed and return.
there are other ways to do it was well, but this method requires no cutting or flaring, just remove and replace.

Re: Fuel lines AN sizes??
yeah I just want to replace the lines from the fuel rail over to the body.
Ok, so I need 2 sets of the ones pictured....
85-92 TPI Fuel Rail -6 AN Fittings (tpiparts.net description)
85-92 Chassis Fuel Line 6 AN Fittings (tpiparts.net desccription)
So I just buy (2) lengths of 6 AN hose and 2 pairs of 6AN fittings and put it together right??

Yes, 2 sets of 'saginaw' to AN fittings(feed and return), and then braided -6 hose, 2 lengths, and then 4 hose ends, like this link, if it works:

yep, you are right, you need both the chassis and rail parts, since the fuel lines on the chassis are male end, and the fuel rails are female ended.
this picture and link are a guide, they also offer 45degree, 90 degree, and 135 degree ends, that might help routing the lines.

Re: Fuel lines AN sizes??
I replaced my lines with braided stainless, I used 90 degree fittings by the fuel rail... its going to be tight in there no matter what fittings you use... i'll post a pic up in the morning.

there is the fuel rail fittings if you need anything else summit or *bay is the places to go or if you have a local race shop they usually have the other stuff but not many carry the fuel rail fittings.
