thats my big time muscle IROC, i think it looks cool, but i know its not really realistic, lol just i think you could get alot of respect still with it lowered and the wheels and tires looking like that lol
and yes i know it is seriously unlikely for anybody to fit wheels and tires that big on a thirdgen and still keep it a street car, Drag car on the other hand lol, i just always liked the way this looked for some reason lol

It's much simpler than that. Just go to www.hotpart.com and get their adjustable camber plates. I can get a ton of camber with mine. I bet 4* or more...

I'm not really thinking solid strut mounts would be much worse, ezxcept for maybe some vibration through the steering wheel.

Even when my Camaro was my DD I had solid strut mounts, manual steering, poly bushings, etc., but I don't mind that kind of stuff. But, I did notice a big improvement/difference with the installation of solid strut mounts, and I don't know if it would be tolerated by everyone.

The biggest improvement I noticed with my solid strut mounts was the lack of deflection. The upper strut bearing is surrounded in rubber on the stock camber plates. I was losing like 2* of camber autocrossing with slicks on. Now the car keeps a LOT more of it's camber as it is pushed around a corner. Otherwise I noticed no other differences.

not everybodys thirdgen has to be alike. sure theres different colors, and wheel designs, but youre basically just saying that everyone has to make their cars the same. which is not right. everyone should be original.
i want some variety. would you like to see a thirdgen down the street from where you live with the same hood and wheels? maybe the same spoiler too. the pedastal, the lip. the only ones i see any of our cars with. but oh its painted black and not white so its cool. its different. no. its not different. its the same car just diguised under a different shade. show me some custom ****. something nobody else has.
i like to be different and this is whats gonna make me different. you can hate on it now but once you see it youll be like damn, why didnt i think of that?
my cars going to reflect my imagination. i dont know much yet but im doing work myself. im 17. and my dream is to do custom work on cars. the last idk how man years of my life ive been waiting to get my hands on something to make it custom. mine. i obviously see things differently than all of you do. i guess this could be becausem betting most of you are older. you dont really like the new style us kids are going for. but what **** did you do to your cars when you were young that the older crowd didnt like? and guess what youre still doing it today.
so im just going to leave you all with this. you should be supporting what everyone does with their cars. whether they be third gens, or exotics, or little rice burners. i dont want hate in the custom car culture. not that my voice is going to be heard. its not like i rag on what you guys do either. i like what i see in the cars on here. and most of them are nicer than i could ever imagine mine. but i support other peoples doing. what you like is what you like.
Where oh where did you read that every third gen has to be the same? You think just cause there are not members running stretched tires and tucked wheels that we are all the same? There are members who have done big block swaps or LS1 swaps, c4 corvette independent suspensions, T56 swaps....4th gen dash swaps. There are those that like the stock look. There are also those that try to get the most out of their car while keeping it looking sorta stock. There are members who go for all handling and braking and then members who care only about straight line performance. Then there are those that care about car shows and making a show car only. All of these have a place in Third gens. Stretched tires...dont. There is nothing to be gained from it other than goofy looks.
Ill support what others do to their cars only when it makes sense. To downgrade a cars handling just for a fad is dumb. And it WILL downgrade your handling. These cars were some of the best handling american cars of the 80s. If you want the stretched tire and tucked rim look sell your camaro and buy a VW. You would fit in with those mindsets. Im sure you'll give me some kind of response like im being narrow-minded and not allowing you to express yourself. How about this instead...since you cant come up with something original and must copy what all the dubbers are doing then i say that you are being unoriginal.
Oh and most of us are not "old" There is such a vast range of age on this board. Anyone from your age to 70s. Dont assume cause the car is older that the owners are too.

Also, if you dont already own a flat brim hat, now would be a time to invest in one

foose and barris build/built cars that may have been wild, but were still based on sound engineering principles. thats drastically and negatively altering the suspension design. it even looks dangerous. those cars on that site look damaged. i don't understand the attraction behind it at all.
compromising a vehicle's basic handling characteristics in the name of cosmetics is foolish.

it would be original because of the fact that i would be the only thirdgen to be hellaflush. can your mind just not comprehend this? stop being a ****, guy.
and before you say some stupid **** about how it hurts handling again. i DO comprehend that. i believe my handling will not be hurt. im not going as crazy as you think. read the rest of this ****ing thread. im not even going camber at all. im gonna put 17" rims on it. and lower it. but i hate the tucked look. so theyll be kindaflush.
