Fab-work Request?

I'm looking to have something small made. Basically want a gauge pod and aux port box made that fits under the two middle vents but doesn't exceed the width of it, something i could just bolt under it.

[heres a quick sketch of something]

I just wanted something kind of to look like factory not just slabbed in there like a pillar pod with black duck tape... lol maybe some ideas might make me think of something else. I just have times where I have use to use all 3 aux ports and I'm kind of wanting to add a 3 gauge row.

Re: Fab-work Request?

...guess not? I'm just trying to figure out a clean way to add more aux ports and gauges without making it look bad but still have it look like its almost stock. you know like subarus wrx can change out their top dash pad center piece for a gauge pod or something.. i don't know. I just need ideas how to add more aux ports, gauges, cup holders? ideas & pictures would help.

Check out electronics places like Radio Shack/Fry's....etc. For something in the hobby/experimental areas.

You might find a box there, that will suit your needs.

Hmm maybe..
btw I have that overhead hvac light that's right below the center vents. is that 12v? if so i could just parallel the 12v to the gauges and aux ports.

Re: Fab-work Request?

I don't have any measurements handy. The pod in the picture was put in by the car's original owner when it had a turbo. It was bent from sheet aluminum and tig welded together. I wanted to make a taller version of the same thing to mount another row of gauges, so I built a wooden jig with dowels to bend some sheet styrene around while softened it with a heat gun. I never got around to putting it into the car though.
