Firebird front mount wiper washer reservoir

Since there is no room for the reservoir in the factory spot we had to come up with something so I used a 4th gen reservoir and used hose clamps (yuck) to secure it, it's dirty but quick and easy.

Then I cut a hole in the front panel and epoxied a PCV extension tube in the reservoir. Take filler cap off, fill up...done

I did have to tweak the support bracket a bit, but it was already tweaked for the intercooler so no biggie. Fits like a glove and less crap in the engine compartment (not that anything more would fit, this is like stuffing 10lbs of **** in a 5lbs bag)

Its one of the best engine bay appearance mods if you have the patience to make it fit. I ended up rebuilding the triangle support so the tank passed through it, then welded tabs onto the cross support bars. With an intercooler, you had more to work around than me for sure.

I like how the 4th gen overflow cleans things up even more, but I HATE the hole that you have to cut. Just never liked how it turned out on my 87. When/if I ever relocate my battery, Ill be using an explorer tank or something where the batter sits now. But a nice new thirdgen tank looks better than the old stained junk.

Good stuff turbo!

What did you use to turn the raw pipe into threads for the cap?

PVC threaded adapter

It's a sleeve just like the one that I epoxied into the reservoir. The PVC pipe fits inside these sleeves. The side w/ the cap is simply threaded. The parts can all be bought separately and glued together w/ PVC glue but I used epoxy.
