Now that's a good question... I've had a 140a cs130 alternator on order for three weeks or so... If it shows up I'm ready to go! The stocker can't keep up at high rpm.

I've been swapping the 4.11's for a set of 3.50 big pinion pro gears.... Should be back on the road tonight, hopefully I didn't screw up the install!

First gear pull on the street with 315/60/15 MT tires, 3.50 rear gear. Let out and got back in because road was curving.

Re: 2k hp capable street car build

Got some more work done.

The Hyperkontrol has an accelerometer in it, it's critical that it is mounted with either connector or opposite end towards the front of the car, and installed level.

I fabbed this mount plate to do the job. You can see the level adjustment screw to make sure it's installed level. I mounted it on the floor under the passenger seat to keep with the theme of 'clean install'.

Here's a bracket I fabbed to mount a ferrous metal proximity sensor to sense the back of the front wheelstuds to give me a VSS sensor for the boost controller.

Re: 2k hp capable street car build

12-13 psi smokes the 315/60 drag radials at 85. Estimated 1150 flywheel hp from fuel usage.

16 psi blows the tires off from 60. Not planned, but that happens when you forget to hook the hose back up to the side of the waste gate..... Still pulled a peak of .93g while spinning the tires on the limiter! Estimated 1320 flywheel hp.

I saw over 30 psi with the 114 mm and was still almost 1:1 back pressure... I'm not sure if the 76's will make that much.

Looks like they could be the same ones?

Mine are precision billet 7675 turbos.

Got the dual chutes from the outlaw car, might as well use them.m hoping for 150 1/8th mile traps and some of the tracks have short shutdowns.

Tires are 315/60/15 mt drag radials. They are mounted on 15x12.25" wheels. Diameter is right about 30" and the section width is 14.25"-14.5".

Awesome car! How does Murphy's Finest feel about your car? Reason I ask is because out here in the Soviet Rebublic of California that car would be begging for trouble.

LOL!

Actually, I was driving home a couple months ago after getting the car aligned. It was about 10:30 am, and I'm driving right at the speed limit through town. I see a policeman turn on the road I'm on and follow me, going pretty slowly. I keep driving, turn onto my street, and he follows.

I turn in my driveway, and he parks in front of my house and comes up the driveway... I think OH NO.

He comes up and says "man, that thing sounds pretty good! I was trying not to follow too close because I didn't want to scare you. Do you mind if I take a look at it?"

15 minutes later, my wife comes out of the garage, having heard my car pull in but I haven't come in... she sees the policeman and his car and thinks uhoh! After hearing the conversation, she shakes her head and walks back inside! hehe

The policeman thought the car was pretty cool!

Re: 2k hp capable street car build

Installed a window net this weekend to be legal for the track. I'm using the Jerry Bickel window net kit.

with this net

Here are some pics of the install....

Location for threaded adapter for rear of upper net

Welded in and installed. Always run a tap through the threaded adapter after welding!

Buckle installed nice and tight up against the headliner. Used a small square of aluminum sheetmetal with rounded corners and some wet cardboard to keep the headliner from burning. A buddy of mine told me about this trick, it works very well!

Re: 2k hp capable street car build

Window net must be securely mounted on the inside of the roll cage, with the permanent attachment at the bottom. All attachment points must be designed in an attempt to protect the driver and avoid contact with track surface or guardwall. Eyelet clips, dogleash hardware, hose clamps, etc. prohibited. Penetration of webbing, except as performed by manufacturer, prohibited. Any modification to net must be performed by manufacturer.
