Any Ideas on getting this to fit under my hood

So I got my harwood 3in. cowl hood and test fit it, its just a little to short to clear my supercharger.

I need about a 1/4 so i can get a air cleaner tube on top of my carburetor so i can get ample air to my setup from the front bumper or wheel well.

Should i consider a shorter carb? Im using a holly 600, is there any carbs that are a little shorter?

Think i should use a solid motor mount to drop the entire engine a little?

What do you guys think? I will not use a taller cowl hood

cut a little hole in the hood and re-glass the bulge.

IDK how much you can lower the engine before clearance elsewhere becomes an issue. what motor moutns do you have? if they are original, they are already a bit lower than what the solid or poly mounts would be at.

can you get a thinner bonnet for the top of they carb? not sure you can get a thinner carb...

If the carb is setting on top of a huge spacer, look at getting a thinner one. I've seen some people setting the carb on top of a 2" thick plate on top of the manifold to get more plenum volume.

Lets see what this induction system looks like before we can offer suggestions.
