Everyone and their brother offers an adapter to put old school valve covers on an LS.
But, does anyone offer an adapter to go the other way...? LS valve covers on an SBC?... preferably center bolt heads, which are missing some of the cooler options. Such as either of these.
So are you just looking for something engraved on the covers? There are plenty of sources for that. We've done many.
A 3D font or image can be applied, or have a set cast.
Not engraved, but more of a cast-in lettering. The LS and/or SBC perimeter-bolt covers have a substantial logo, while the SBC center bolt covers tend to get a dinky after-thought of a logo. And even though it isn't a third gen script, the LS covers do have a "Camaro" option.
mojoe wheres the best place to buy the ones in the first pic? Polished or chromed, no paint?
Those cast aluminum covers are GM #12480127. I found them at Summit Racing, for a lot more than I remember! Or similar is GM Performance slant-edge #141-925. Neither I've seen as polish or chromed. Since I haven't shopped for those recently, you can DuckDuckGo, Bing, or Google to find sellers.
Not specifically. I'd imagine there would be adapters to go the other way, old valve covers on LS heads, and they might work to adapt the other way by flipping them over.
I doubt you will find any adapters. The LS covers are geometrically so different that the adapters would look goofy and be expensive (round corners compared to square corners. Also, the LS covers are much shallower in depth as the head casting sits higher and shrouds the rockers. Your best bet is to use adapters that Drew pointed out and search through the thousands of valve covers available for SBC's.

Thanks, Shifty. While disappointing (adapter not likely), this is the kind of answer I was hoping would come out.
